The b&w processing gives it a nice effect! 20 Nov 2007 4:26am @Stunner: Thanks Always Stunner ;) Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaVery nice photo. You've captured the concentration he uses in his work. And if some people get a little turned on by that, more power to 'em! For my particular tastes, I'd say the photo is a touch over-sharpened, but then I'm funny that way. 20 Nov 2007 6:06am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaThanks Damon, oh why didn't you say 'overexposed' I would have had a great comeback LOL is it, over-sharpened? I don't see it, but my eyesight is certainly not as - pardon the pun- 'sharp' as it used to be. Nonetheless, I appreciate any suggestions that can improve my photos, so thanks a lot Damon, never hesitate! 20 Nov 2007 8:11am Gonçalo from PortugalThis is a great picture! Great! Reminds me the work of master Sebastião Salgado. 20 Nov 2007 2:37pm @Gonçalo: Wow, thanks Gonçalo, lovely compliment :) M.E. from Encino, United Statesgreat catch! this is a very good commentary about common sights that people often take for granted! 21 Nov 2007 5:00pm @M.E.: That's a nice thing to say, thanks M.E. :) Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaThis really portrays the idea of work in this context so well. It also reminds us that fantastic images are available everywhere if we will only look carefully. Then there's the technical aspect, as well, which you have totally under control here. The image has great presence due to the sharpening, which you've taken to the limit, above which, I feel, the lines would become too sharp and unrealistic looking. Good judgement. 6 Mar 2008 9:51pm @Andrew Gould: wow, thanks Andrew, I love it my visitors go back and check an old one, thanks also for your wonderful comment, it's very encouraging ;) |
