The sepia really works well. 17 Dec 2007 12:26pm @Betty: Thanks so much Betty :) Guillermina from Buenos Aires, ArgentinaThis is extremely beautiful, L.... But really, extremely beautiful. And sad, and melancholy... (I've always liked what sepia does with the snow. You've captured it perfectly here.) 17 Dec 2007 12:55pm @Guillermina: Thanks very much G., it's strange this winter's making me melancholic, which is unusual for me, so it probably shows a bit too in my photos:) Ian Bramham from Manchester, United KingdomI agree with Guillermina that the sepia tone does make it appear melancholy but also beautiful at the same time - like an old picture discovered hidden in the attic. 17 Dec 2007 1:55pm @Ian Bramham: Wow you two can read my mind, I'm absolutely in the mood to find treasures in the Attic...;) thanks a lot! Janice Thomson from Courtenay BC, CanadaBeautiful again mon amie. You work wonders with the sepia tones - is this outside your house? I do hope your 'wishes' come true. 17 Dec 2007 2:23pm @Janice Thomson: Ahhh thank you my dear friend, It'd be nice to be granted a wish :)...nope not outside my house but closeby :) Walt from Scarborough, CanadaVery nice - the lack of colour is perfect for a snowy scene! 17 Dec 2007 2:33pm @Walt: You know it's strange Walt I'm usually so excited about snow and winter, and this year, not so much...mmm but I do love it in sepia LOL Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanYou're sending me down memory lane with this shot, Lorraine! It used to be like this...about 50 years ago....in my homecountry. Now I'm glad I had those happy cold winters, with lots of snow that turned into hills by the side of the street! And there was some serious playing in the snow until all my clothes used to turn wet. (maybe this is why I have so many pains and aches by now! LOL) 17 Dec 2007 3:42pm @Japanalia: Thanks a lot Gabriela, I appreciate a photo that brings you down memory lane, so I'm grateful for that. At the moment, outside my window as I'm typing this, is a 6 foot little hill in front of my house. We've had 2 major blizzards in the last two days...Today It's White and Blue all over, and I'm getting old and I'm still all wet LOL Photographs by M.E. from Encino, United Statesthis is awesome! the sepia application worked, gave it a nostalgic look! have a wonderful holiday! 17 Dec 2007 4:49pm @Photographs by M.E.: Same to you M.E. and thanks a lot :) Ras from Plano, United Statessepia tone makes it look like it really stormed and continues to storm. I love the look. 17 Dec 2007 4:54pm @Ras: Good thinking Ras, it is and it does...;) @badala: Oh Badala, you ain't seen nothin' yet!!! LOL thanks :) Reza from Montreal, CanadaYesterday we had a snowstorm, and I think you did too. I had no chance to go out and take some winter/snow shots so far but I hope I am gonna make it someday ;) This is great indeed and sepia works well. 17 Dec 2007 6:43pm @Reza: Thanks Reza, oh yes we've been snowed in, in fact if it weren't for my terrific neighbour, I wouldn't be able to leave my house LOL @Jasp: You're very intuitive, 'cause I wish called this 3 wishes...hope they come true :) T-Daddy from Dachsbach, GermanyEine wundervolles Foto, sieht fast aus wie von den Anfängen der Fotografie 17 Dec 2007 7:53pm @T-Daddy: Thanks T-Daddy, that's a beautiful compliment :) Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomNice treatment, the image in sepia kind of fits with the last time I remember it snowing over here - was that about 1965 !! Really, a lovely image of your winter just starting I guess.....but I really wish you could send some snow over here, I have only a few snow pictures, as we only got about an inch of it last year, and it was gone by mid-morning. 18 Dec 2007 12:58am @Richard_Irwin: Oh Richard, would if I could, we've already had a winter's worth of snowfall LOL 1965, hey? I like that!!! Thanks a lot :) Betsy Barron : www.thebetsy.com from Glenmoore, United StatesI love the tones on this L - nice job 18 Dec 2007 2:19am @Betsy Barron : www.thebetsy.com: Thanks so much BetsyB ;) Wolfgang Prigge from Granby, Québec, CanadaEst-ce que c'était durant la tempête de hier? Elle était une vrai... 18 Dec 2007 2:47am @Wolfgang Prigge: Sans farce, wow quelle tempete!! Mais non, celle-ci était de la semaine dernière lOL Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomWOW. As friends above have observed already, the sepia does make this an outstandingly ruminative piece (as opposed to all light and fluffy), dear lady. And hmmmmm, I do like that. The epitome of marvellous, imho. :) 18 Dec 2007 9:17am @Rebecca: ha Rebecca of the sweet comments, that's how Ithink of you now, thanks always :) amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaVery nice nostalgic feeling with that sepis..
