Coffee, Tea, Psychiatrist or Priest?
I love this picture. You have captured the feel of a cold winter day and given us a glimpse of a neighborhood with charm and character.

The contrast between beauty and utilitarianism is wonderful. You've made that fire escape rather appealing. Nice.

@kurt: I appreciate that very much Kurt :)
Lorraine......WHY is everybody so much in love with B&W shots when, just a few years ago, EVERYTHING was COLOUR!!!! I've been wondering........ The composition is attractive, you found a good angle to include so many things....common and less so. The background piece of architecture is a jewel.About the title....shun them all! Take a walk....or just take photos! Gabriela
2 Jan 2008 10:51am
@Japanalia: lol you've said it Gabriela, my two passions coffee and photography :)
Golly... looks cold! I'll take the shrink AND the coffe. (Californians are such woosies.)
Really nice image. I'm pretty sure that would not have caught my eye. You've challenged me here to look around at the possibilities.
2 Jan 2008 11:43am
@MontereyJohn: Whatever gets you through the day my friend, wuss lol kidding, and thank you that's a wonderful compliment :)
You even got a rhyme there! Agree with Badala, perfect for B&W. Love the misty mood.
(Shrink and coffee seem like the best choice ever.)
2 Jan 2008 1:31pm
@Guillermina: Hey G., I'll go anywhere where I'm guaranteed a coffee lol thanks a lot !

Profound sentiment...good for the new year
2 Jan 2008 3:43pm
@Jasp: Thanks a lot Rich, I appreciate it :)
Out the door and into the church looks easier than climbing the stairs! LOL Great detail you captured with the snow, icicles and mist all before the eyes reach the church - perfect in B & W!
@Judy: Judy, personally I sit and have a coffee lol Thanks so much :)
You are now the master/mistress of BW winter streets!
2 Jan 2008 5:23pm
@Viewfinder: Oh My your Royalty you've elevated me, well better than being a street/walker lol thanks a lot :)
It has to be a cup of tea for me.....everytime
2 Jan 2008 5:55pm
@Richard_Irwin: I'll make sure Moka Loca is aware of the fact...lol also I can so see having a tea with a priest, mmm
Well i think all that snow you're getting really suits B&W Lorraine - its great!
(PS - thanks very much for all the encouraging words while i was away in France = I really apppreciate it, also belated new year's greetings to you and yours - best wishes as always, ian....oh by the way, I've just loaded a new photo from 'gay paree' for tomorrow :-)
2 Jan 2008 7:11pm
@Ian Bramham: Thanks so much, although right now I'd settle for a nice beach, it's so cold. And about my comments over at your site, well you really deserve them, wow, you're fabulous! I'll be over to check 'gay paree' soon that is unless Am3 stops again, seems to do that a lot in the morning lately, which is the time I answer comments and visit!
