What's in that long bag Lorraine? By the way, I'm impressed with how neatly the local services have piled snow at the sides of the road. I used to have to wade through it when I lived in snowy Kanazawa.

@Daroru: I was hoping one of my visitors would tell me Daroru, I have no idea...and yes the public service is fantastic, there are huge mountains of snow at corners (what you see there is nothing) :)

A nice bright winter shot that hints of fun in the snow. This works very well in b/w. Super composition, Lorraine.

Love the sharpness and B&W of this one, Lorraine. You get a lot of snow, and it looks like its there for the duration! No wonder you want to see green!

So they are on their way somewhere. This looks like it could be a "blue sky" day, which makes the piles of snow somewhat less unbearable (it did for me when I lived in Iowa).

You chose the right tonality here, Lorraine! A beautiful composition where light plays a great part! I like the shadows on the house wall and on the snow.

Oh goodness with all that snow around I don't think that, it's a fishing Rod (my first thought when I saw this shot) that guy is carrying. :)
