Snowbound/I Want to be an AmericanPosted by Lorraine (Gatineau, Canada) on 8 March 2008 in Plant & Nature. The weather forecast has warned us of a massive snow storm this weekend. We've had major snow storms since November, but now for this weekend, apparently, it will be massive. I figured it out, we're having 1.5 Winter. How can that be? You ask. Simple, our darling cousins the US of A has had a delayed winter, and of course USA being mighty and decisive decided to shove the snow back to us.

Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesSo much for the green series. You do look seriously snowbound. But San Francisco? Indiana? Hmmph. "Do you know what it means, to miss New Orleans?" Mind you, you didn't have much choice!! LOL I do feel so bad for you folks out east. I know how frustrating it can be when you get storm after storm after storm... and railing at the gods only makes it worse!! Believe me!!!!!! LOL It's like those Canadian Tire commercials where the husband flicks the light on to similate summer then quickly turns it off for a much longer period of time for winter. It's funny for those of us in the know because it's so annoyingly true. Hang in there sweetie... it will get green again. Promise. ;-) 9 Mar 2008 3:15am @amy: That's very sweet, thanks a lot Amy ;) Japanalia from Yokohama, KenyaHello, there...Lorraine, are you at the window????...'cause I can't see you! We've had more snow than usual but it's the bitter cold that has gotten to me. The lucky people in the USA must not be living in Utah this winter. Maybe we should all migrate to San Francisco. Although, I have to say, you have wa-a-y more snow than we do. Yikes. It makes me shiver just to look at your photos, which, by the way, are beautiful. 12 Mar 2008 4:58am @Lynne's Somewhat Invented Life: Hey Thanks Lynne, yep lets all gather to San Francisco, hit the bars, and sing songs lol |
