Excellent Lorraine! Elles semblent penser: tu veux ma photo?
11 May 2008 3:33pm
@standley: Tu pourrais avoir raison Richard, elles semblaient horrifiées...désolée chères dames ;)
Thats the kind of moment that I never have a camera at hand. I must say you were quick on your toes to capture this, its one of those startled moments of perfect symmetry........do you experience this a lot ??
11 May 2008 4:28pm
@Richard_Irwin: I like that Richard, and yes I do, my secret? I never, ever (no matter the inconvenience) leave my camera at home, where I go, it goes ;)
Please I want a berepoot and a nassischijf :). Great picture of amazement!

@mahdy60: lol thanks a lot mahdy60
Nice colors.I wonder what are they both looking to?!
11 May 2008 2:37am
@shahab: Hey Shahab they were looking at me!!! ;)
Probably the look that they give out every time some English speaker mis-pronounces 'Poutine' (whatever that is but it sounds like fun :-)
Lovely 'street' shot Lorraine!
11 May 2008 3:18am
@Ian Bramham: lol not quite Ian, 'sides they were looking at 'me' and I'm French and not because I asked for a Poutine, (although I did, nice white sauce lotsa cheese, gosh it was good)it was the 150 chocolate chip cookies I asked for that took them by surprise, who'd have thought?
Love their expressions! Nice shot.
11 May 2008 5:11am
@Betty: thanks a lot Betty they were being so sweet and discrete, at my request for 150 chocolate chip cookies, you know sometimes we just get cravings...
A real slice of local life, Lorraine. So what did you shock them by ordering?
11 May 2008 6:29am
@Michael Skorulski: 150 chocolate chips cookies, they're homemade and i had a craving...Had to settle for 2 though...but I did definitely get a poutine ;)
Great shot.... The expression says it all....
11 May 2008 6:53am
@MJ: Thanks a lot MJ, I chuckled :)
The question is, what did they know about those cookies that you didn't...?
11 May 2008 7:12am
@Daroru: mmmm very astute Daroru...:)
Great portraits. I can't imagine how you captured this without them staring at you.
11 May 2008 7:37am
@e.: I can't reveal my sources, I mean, it's serious, they could withhold poutine in the future, imagine that, ahhh I shudder ;)
It's enough to scare a person off..... are they approachable?. Large portion of fish & chips please....!
11 May 2008 7:41am
@Observing: they're real sweeties, I'll pass on the order, just bring the camera :)

Who is Lou and who is Lou...
11 May 2008 10:05am
@ilnoir: Nathanael, tsk, tsk tu ne connais pas Patates LouLou? ;)
LMAO!!! 150?!! You're just wicked funny, Lorraine!! Great capture! Question though, if they're looking at you, why does it seem the camera is more to the left as they're not looking directly at it (you)? Were you holding it to the side? I've never had poutine with white sauce only gravy et al... must try that!!
11 May 2008 10:15am
@amy: shhhhh darlin' you'll spoil the ending ;) poutines are so decadent...the white sauce is chicken and the brown sauce is beef, everyone takes the beef except moi
Great capture of the typical expression of youth! LOL! :0)
11 May 2008 10:18am
@Craig: lol Young chefs can be tempermental, actually they were very sweet :) Thanks a lot Craig!
Lady, you got to be kidding!! I think the brunnette is trying to figure out if they even have 150 or where they could come up with that many. Great capture Lorraine and yes you are wicked, but it got you a great shot.

11 May 2008 12:05pm
@Janice Thomson: Well ma chère I ended it up with two, being reasonable again, ahhhh ;)
Leur étonnement est bien à la hauteur de ta demande, mais quand même il fallait penser à la prendre cette photo (et ça peut-être que ça les surprend aussi) !!!

@Alun Lambert: Thanks a lot Alun :)
Did you really ask for all of those cookies. What a laugh! At first I was going to say what happened to service with a smile but then their smile must have come after the shot. Great timing and a great way to stir up your subjects for that special shot. Poutine.... Oh my I am learning something new.
12 May 2008 10:21pm
@Barbara: ahhhh nahhhh lol but I had two ;) As a good internet friend I can only say: Stay away from the Poutine ;)
