@Andrew Gould: Hey Andrew, that's where the ' never leave home without your cam ' comes handy. I went to an ATM machine to get money, and there they were, those three lovely girls, asleep, I took a shot while withholding the flash, just as they started to wake up, one opening her eyes and smiling at the one who was still deeply asleep and the other one had just started waking and getting up simultaneously, she was a little unsettled. They never noticed me lol

Reading your reply to Andrew makes me wonder why on earth the girls were sleeping on the floor in the first place. Are they homeless children and was that girl's hair really that color?
Whatever they were doing, you captured them well.

Lorraine, I agree, you should never go anywhere without your camera. Another wonderful people shot, plus I love the bits of color. They don't look like they are homeless, too well dressed for that. But it sure makes you wonder why they were sleeping near an ATM.

Really great record shot Lorraine! I too wonder why they were sleeping there? As mentioned above they look too well clad to be homeless. I bet the little devils had just stayed out all night and daren't go home! Great catch Lorraine! ;-)

Are these yesterday's buds, by chance???? They sure grow up quickly! The effect of colours against mono is used with much subtlety. I like the way the three of them are building a winding movement which has lots of tenderness in it.

Excellent spontaneous capture. I like the tone and selective color, the colorful hair adds a nice touch. And their parents thought they were at school or studying. I too am a strong believer, never leave home without your camera (and coffee)

Elles ne semblent pas être "sans domicile" et vivre dans la rue, leur visage n'exprime pas la souffrance et la dure vie de ces personnes. Juste des ados un peu fatiguées, du moins j'espère car celle qui dort semble bien jeune.... Joli post traitement.

Brilliant, Lorraine!! The selective colour is quite inspired. Outstanding, my friend!!

As to why? I am so curious as well. The one that's still sleeping looks a bit young to be out partying all night. And where are the parents? To me this is a scary portrayal of today's family. You've really got an evocative story in this image!!

Was this in Montreal? I always noticed a lot of homeless children in the downtown area. Great shot but also sad.

@Janice Thomson: Thanks Dear Lady, it is one of my favourite, usually the totally unexpected ones, are, it makes up for the awkwardness of always carrying two cameras with me, poor things, they get banged a lot (my cameras) ;)
