@laughingwolf: If you look closely at the leaves there is a tinge of blue for my Mighty visitors :)...I don't really celebrate these things

Hi my Girl, beutiful, patriotic capture.... I have the dam thing hanging in the basket outside my window, but was never able to do what you did.. (dahhhhh...)
I love the contrast between the colors and the composition of a little flower agains the bigger one.
As far as toning the highlights down, it all depends on what software you're using. I'm in the process right now of learning Adobe Camera Raw CS3, and with that I'd use Recover slider in the Basic panel, I don't know if it helps...
But in the meantime, have a good one eh...

Beautiful Lorraine. Very kind of you. I hear the boom and bang of the fireworks still going on. From home I can see the fireworks near Clearwater Beach and another display going off at a major city park. Besides here in Florida people can shoot their own fireworks (not as powerful as the big displays) The outdoors is filled with smoke and smell of sulfur.
