I remember when I was a kid growing up in New England what it was like putting the boat "to bed" at the end of summer. It always left me with an empty feeling. You captured that nicely here. Now as for the processing, how in the world did you do that??? I can generally get primary colors isolated, but here you got something more subtle. Did you delete everything save yellow? If so, the skin tone is just right. Nicely done. 13 Oct 2008 1:14am @MontereyJohn: Hey John, we all know that feeling don't we? Anyhoo, this processing is so easy, if you don't already have Picasa2, download it, it's free and oh so simple. With the many options, there is one called 'focal black and white' all you do is click on the part of the photo you want to keep in colour and it throws the rest in black and white. Easy as pie, I was just lucky he was wearing that colour lol tyan from Singapore, SingaporeI'll send you all my love in the letter, sealed with a kiss..i don;t wanna say goodbye....lalalalalalalalala...how's that! Now you;ve got me grooving!:) 13 Oct 2008 2:21am @tyan: Love that song, but isn't that the words to 'See you in Sept'? lol either way as long as you're grooving, oh good thing I took my angel back Tyan seeing on how I got hit by a car yesterday morning, I kid you not, go check my blog http://notesfromanagoraphobicphotographer.blogspot.com/ for the SUNDAY post ;) GJC from Kyoto, JapanThat gate says it all.
