Pose for me boys...Posted by Lorraine (Gatineau, Canada) on 9 November 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. ALSO, thank GOD for my VISITORS, sometimes you straightened me out in your lovely, friendly fashion. Yesterday's shot shouldn't have occured, 'cause I could have startled him and he could have been hurt. So no more photos like that...BUT THESE, these guys knew what was happening LOL ;)

You are the star for this shot. Nice going Lorraine. 9 Nov 2008 11:51am @Barbara: ACtually Barb when I first lifted my camera to them they both vehemently told me no photos, stay away. Seriously, so I just smiled and told the tallest one that I liked his hat, and that's what I was really shooting for, suddenly both very eager to have their photos taken...go figure ...;) thanks so much Jasp from Plymouth, United KingdomAt Tim Hortons too ... shorts ? in Canada in November ?... now that's got to be cold ! Do they realise they are famous now ? 9 Nov 2008 1:31pm @Jasp: I told them they were, it warmed up a bit for a while, plus they're young, they can handle it lol Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesGreat shot, Lorraine ........ and that guy on the left must have some of my Mike's genes! He wears shorts nearly year-round, but of course it IS a bit warmer here than in Canada! He's wearing slacks this morning as it's only 54F ... AND, we're going to church! <grin> 9 Nov 2008 1:44pm @Judy: As if WE could get away with that lOL thanks so much dear Judy, it warmed up for a day or two, close to 17 degrees (that would be 64f... JJ from Jersey City, United StatesGreat capture of the pair of them, I dont think the click of a camera shutter would scare anyone enough to fall so dont think there was any problem with yesterdays shot 9 Nov 2008 2:30pm @JJ: It's very nice of you to say so JJ, thanks a lot :) Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA kind of rapper pose. Very cool, Lorraine. 9 Nov 2008 3:12pm @Michael Skorulski: Thanks a lot Michael, they're really into the rapper zone on this one ;) Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomNice one Lorraine, did you buy the coffee afterwards :D 9 Nov 2008 3:13pm @Observing: What??? being on my site isn't enough ;) lol I had one @Daryl: No, never seen them before, probably never will again, but they were game :) Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaI like the attempt at a folksy cowboy hat. Gives him a goofy look. 9 Nov 2008 4:08pm @Michael Rawluk: The reason why I wanted the photo was for the guy's hat lol thanks so much Michael :) @Alun Lambert: Thanks alot Alun :) Wolfgang - vu@granby from Granby, Québec, CanadaTypically Canadian, eh! Une rencontre bien sympa en tout cas. 9 Nov 2008 11:26pm @Evelyne Dubos: Ils sont partout lol merci beaucoup Evelyne :) JoeB from Brampton, CanadaThese guys are posers, who asked who? wait a minute the decor looks very familiar where you in brampton ? straw hat has got a twenty did you get a free coffee? I better stop with the questions. 9 Nov 2008 11:44pm @JoeB: Hey Joe, better ask then think inappropriately, lol really not posers, 'cause when I first lifted my camera, they said no way, absolutely not. So I stopped, then I said to the guy to the left, 'I just like like your hat, i wanted a photo of your hat.' Once I said that, they became very enthusiastic lol Not in Brampton...not a free coffee..ask away, I'm very honest (most of the time ;) can't perjure myself now can I? Thanks for all your questions Joe! marianne from Toulouse, from France, Italyah tous les mêmes, ces jeunes, ils ont un coeur tout tendre, et ils veulent jouer les "durs" 10 Nov 2008 1:46am @marianne: Tout à faire ma chère Marianne et à tous les jours, vite, dépêche, ton croissant au chocolat et ton café t'attend ;) @akarui: Ils sont beaux les jeunes lol Merci beaucoup Olivier :) Walter from Watkinsville, United StatesWell, I must say these two really seem to enjoy having their photo taken. As I take photos, especially of high school kids, there are only 2 groups. Those that want to be in the picture and those that do not. I do not think these two could be more relaxed about having their photo taken. 10 Nov 2008 2:21am @Walter: It's surprising actually Walter that when I first lifted my camera to take their photos, they absolutely refused, they said no way, no photos. So I said 'Ok, I was just shooting for your hat, I really like your hat' for some reason, instant retraction, they said ok then shoot away and let me take a few, who can tell??? Thanks a lot! Bookfool from Vicksburg, United StatesI missed your roofer, yesterday, and had to go back and peek. So funny! I hate getting "caught". Oh, so this one's inside the coffee shop? Cool. 10 Nov 2008 3:24am @Bookfool: Thanks a lot Book, if ever I see you in a tree, I promise not to take your photo ;) lol thanks alot! Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesAt least they knew you were coming along... hahaha 10 Nov 2008 4:08am @Fliss: lol no sneaking this time Fliss ;) @Andrew Gould: Thanks a lot Andrew :) |
