Interesting and appealing composition you have captured here.
That is certainly a large mailbox. How much email can you put in there? ; )
This reminds me, I use to write many long letters before email, I doubt I could do that anymore.

I like the mostley white subject matter. Makes your colors really stand out. Love all the lines too.
I think I like this most of all because I collect old mailboxes. This one is a beauty.

@Gary: It is a beauty indeed Gary, I also love old tins and mailboxes, so on Thursdays (it's garbage day) I always check out theirs in case they'd throw it out...I'd pick it right up lol and thank you

ah les bellesl lettres écrites avec soin sur un papier choisi et délicieusement parfumé ... la main aimée qui couche des mots tendres ... voilà j'étais encore partie dans un doux rêve !!!
tu peux en faire un petit abri pour les oiseaux avec des graines et une boule de graisse, un peu de paille ... lui redonner une autre vie !
elle est très belle ta photo, et très douce !

Gatineau, where home delivery is still taken very serious. Tempted to put it the blue box for recycling but maybe someone will fix it up. Like the shot for being frayed and rough along the edges.

As everyone's already said, this image of decay is really wonderful. The limited colour range with its muted look makes this an exceptional photograph. Someone said that they would prefer the blue box not to be there, and you replied that you didn't want to cut off the legs of the bench. I agree with the former but understand your dilemma. Never mind... that was life as you found it!

I love the simplicity of this photo -- that dash of blue color against white. One thing I'd have done, while you had your boots on, is move the little bin out of the way. But, I probably would have been shivering so violently I'd have left it. Thin-skinned, I am. Pssst, I don't handle heat well, either. We're happy campers, right now -- loving the "cold". :)
