Tempted to put it the blue box for recycling but maybe someone will fix it up. Like the shot for being frayed and rough along the edges. 24 Nov 2008 2:04pm @JoeB: Well that is a very nice compliment, if it were put in the garbage I would jump on it and take it so quickly it would give everybody whiplash lol Cheryl from Texas, United Statesthis certainly catches the eye. I only wish the blue container under the bench wasn't there. lovely image. 24 Nov 2008 2:07pm @Cheryl: Totally agree with you Cheryl, and at first I was tempted to crop, but I loved the legs of the bench and didn't want to crop them out, thanks alot :) Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaI like the processing, composition and limited tones, Lorraine. Janice Thomson from Comox BC, CanadaI like how everything looks old and used...and then under the bench is a new recycle bin LOL Great capture mon amie! 24 Nov 2008 4:25pm @Janice Thomson: Thanks always my dear friend :) Namaki from Bordeaux, Francea beautiful white and blue combination ! very artistic ! 24 Nov 2008 4:26pm @Namaki: That's sweet, thanks very much Namaki (I can't remember what you said your name was...lol) Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceIl faut avoir un facteur bien tolérant pour qu'il accepte d'utiliser une boîte aux lettres ainsi placée… 24 Nov 2008 4:58pm @Calusarus: Je crois qu'il n'y a rien dans la boite...mais je ne me suis pas aventuree trop pres lol Alun Lambert from cheshire, United Kingdomvery good image, the colours are very good 24 Nov 2008 6:16pm @Alun Lambert: I appreciate that, thanks a lot Alun :) Pixim from Nice, FranceDrôle de boite aux lettres abandonnée ou oubliée. J'aime ce genre de cadrage minutieux . 24 Nov 2008 7:37pm @fredo: C'est gentil, merci beaucoup fFrederic :) Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaAs everyone's already said, this image of decay is really wonderful. The limited colour range with its muted look makes this an exceptional photograph. Someone said that they would prefer the blue box not to be there, and you replied that you didn't want to cut off the legs of the bench. I agree with the former but understand your dilemma. Never mind... that was life as you found it! 24 Nov 2008 8:28pm @Andrew Gould: What a nice thing to say, thanks a lot Andrew :) Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomDosen't the mailman complain....? Then again... if you said yes... that wouldn't surprise me... hahaha 24 Nov 2008 8:44pm @Fliss: Fliss, Fliss, Fliss, why do you expect the worse of me, that would be an invasion of privacy, silly...My cam has a 10X ;) Bookfool from Vicksburg, United StatesI love the simplicity of this photo -- that dash of blue color against white. One thing I'd have done, while you had your boots on, is move the little bin out of the way. But, I probably would have been shivering so violently I'd have left it. Thin-skinned, I am. Pssst, I don't handle heat well, either. We're happy campers, right now -- loving the "cold". :) 24 Nov 2008 9:24pm @Bookfool: Hey Book, I wouldn't do that, it's not my property, mmmmm 'sides my camera's a 10X thanks sweetie! Ross Collins from Wellington, New ZealandNice idea, but is the eye distracted by clutter at the bottom? 24 Nov 2008 10:53pm @Ross Collins: I don't know Ross, you tell me...Is it? I didn't want to erase the legs of the bench, they're so pretty :) Shirin S. Nice. 25 Nov 2008 1:54am @Stephen Phillips: Thanks very much Stephen :) bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaSuch an interesting and emotive capture Lorraine...the white on white with blue words so well.
