We used to let our pipes run a bit in New Orleans when cold frozen weather occasionally came "so the pipes don't freeze" (didn't always work). Is that what you do in Canada, too? 27 Nov 2008 3:45pm @Viewfinder: Oh Yes indeed, I've been woken up at Midnight with all hell breaking loose, and I'm leaving it drip LOL thanks for visiting on Thanksgivng ;) @thierry: Merci beaucoup Thierry :) @faelle: Merci beaucoup Faelle, c'est gentil :) Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomGreat shot Lorranie, is it a scientific experiment....? Excellent timing. 27 Nov 2008 4:28pm @Observing: No Mike, it's a much needed drip, drip, drip 'cause without it when it gets cold the pipes freeze (I live in an old, drafty house) and then break, and then breaks the ceiling and spews jets of water all over the place....lol @Daryl: Thanks a lot Daryl :) tyan from Singapore, Singaporeyou know,if i didnt read the title and people's comments,i thought it was a really pretty bracelet with small crystals. Then i looked close and saw that they were water droplets, though from the way you described,it is not so much a nice place, but you definitely made this shot a very beautiful and artistic one:) Hpayy THanksgiving!:) 27 Nov 2008 4:44pm @tyan: You're such a sweety, Cdn Thanksgiving has come and gone but it's US of A's turn lol @kerfendal: Merci Max, j'ai vraiment eu de la chance, je t'assures :) @yiannis krikis: Thanks a lot Yiannis ;) @Francesc B.: Eh c'est gentil Franc, merci beaucoup :) Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaIt makes a beautiful abstract design. 27 Nov 2008 6:31pm @Michael Rawluk: Thanks so much Michael ;) Pixim from Nice, FranceJ'imagine ta patience pour faire ce shot réussi, ta couronne d'eau est très bien saisie et je suis persuadé que ce n'est qu'un début Bravo ;) 27 Nov 2008 6:55pm @Pixim: Wow, comme t'es gentil, merci beaucoup Eric ;) @Alun Lambert: Cracking, oooo, almost as wonderful as Wicked ;) thanks a lot Alun! I'm guessing water dropping into a metal bowl. 28 Nov 2008 1:57am @JoeB: Close, but no cigar Joe Bin...it's in a sink! We here that have it cold, must always that annoying drip ;) thanks always Janice Thomson from Comox BC, CanadaFantastic shot mon amie! Droplets frozen in time - I love it! Excellent capture. 28 Nov 2008 2:55am @Janice Thomson: Thanks my sweet friend, never for a second did I think this photo would make such a spalsh, who'd have know? lol ;) Barbara from Florida, United StatesThis is a "WoW" shot indeed, and that is what I said when the image opened. Great capture of this splash against the stainless steel. I love splash or droplet images, which I have on my list to accomplish. This is an inspiration. 28 Nov 2008 4:49am @Barbara: You got it Toytota...I mean Babe lol Don't be inspired Barb if you only knew just how long I've been trying to get that darn drop to be clear, eons, really lol thanks so much ;) terrorkitten from Bath, United KingdomYOu really do need to take care of the damn pipes! Water damage is terrible - stay warm! 28 Nov 2008 2:48pm @terrorkitten: No fear kitten, I've already experienced it, I know what to do ;) Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceLa photo est intéressante, mais le texte me laisse perplexe… 29 Nov 2008 9:06am @Calusarus: Salut Frederic, c'est un problème qui se produit quand il fait très froid, et les tuyaux gèlent, brisent et éclatent, c'est pas beau...pour prévenir cette situation, on laisse couler l'eau, pour empêcher les tuyaux de briser :) |
