Would much rather be doing the exercise shown in yesterday's shot, though lol :) 28 Dec 2008 10:25am @dobbino: I don't know Rob it think cleaning the stairs is easier on the back ;) thanks a lot! k@ from FranceMadame, il faut mettre une écharpe - les décolletés sont dangereux in freezing Gatineau ! 28 Dec 2008 10:41am @k@: On est habitue a ces froids impossibles, mais une echarpe est une tres bonne idee ;) Betty from New Jersey, United StatesGreat capture, Lorraine! Watch your step on that slippery snow! Where are her hat and gloves? 28 Dec 2008 12:11pm @Betty: In the car? possibly lol You'd think we'd be wiser by now ;) Thanks a lot Betty! Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesIt must be warming up a bit, as she's wearing no turtle neck or scarf! 28 Dec 2008 12:19pm @Judy: Yesterday, I kid you not, it went up to 10 Celcius, what a meltdown :) thanks a lot Judy! Kathy from Indianapolis, United StatesI love her coat, too! And the red broom handle with the evergreens gives it a holiday feel. 28 Dec 2008 12:40pm @Kathy: thanks so much Kathy, we're having a warm wonderful Yule lol Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaWhat a wonderful composition. The downward line of the stair rail goes so well with the sweeping action of the subject. At the same time, it's a nice little image of every day life. Hope the holiday season is great for you, Lorraine! 28 Dec 2008 12:53pm @Andrew Gould: thanks for the lovely compliment Andrew and the goos wishes, I wish yours is great ;) Janice Thomson from CanadaA nicely captured moment of winter - the whole country is getting a break for a day or two - I can actually see the steps and the driveway :) 28 Dec 2008 1:23pm @Janice Thomson: Hi Janice, who can tell what season will peek-a-boo us, it's always a wonder to me lol thanks my dear! Nina from Hamburg, GermanyBeautiful composition.. a cold and clear morning, snowy and slippery stairs... really a very good capture of a typical winter scene! 28 Dec 2008 1:44pm @Nina: Thanks very much Nina, I always appreciate your visit :) JJ from Jersey City, United Statesit must be a bit warmer no gloves or hat, this is why I say snow may look good on postcards but I dont want to see it out my window means you have to get out and do this 28 Dec 2008 1:45pm @JJ: Life is so beautiful in photos isn't it JJ where you can live whatever you want to, without the inconveniences...A Life through Photos, I can dig ;) @Daryl: One has to get to work...thanks Daryl :) Cheryl from Texas, United Statesif she can sweep it away, that's good! I love her coat!! 28 Dec 2008 2:36pm @Cheryl: Hey Cheryl, oh yes it won't last, thanks a lot :) Barbara from Florida, United StatesI like that she seems unsuspecting of your presence while you captured and documented daily life after the snow fall. 28 Dec 2008 2:40pm @Barbara: LOL Love your comment Barb, that's so cute, thanks a lot :) Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesNice capture. People who have never lived where it is very, very cold and snows don't necessarily realize some snows can be swept away because they are more powdery than wet. When we lived in Iowa, this was a wonder to me - I'd only seen wet snow before (and rarely that). Cool shot. 28 Dec 2008 3:44pm @Viewfinder: Thanks a lot Vf, sometimes we get soft snow, sometimes fluffy, or very gooey and wet, makes great snowballs lol bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaOh yes, there seems to be a lot of this going around our country these days! Great shot Lorraine! 28 Dec 2008 3:58pm @bluechameleon: thanks a lot Blue, thank God for Photography, or else what good would snow be ;) Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaI guess it is time that I got out and did a little shovelling. 28 Dec 2008 4:48pm @Michael Rawluk: Not if you don't have to leave the house...;) thanks a lot Michael António Pires from Lisbon, PortugalYour camera is like a window open over the Canadian daily life, winter life in this time of year. 28 Dec 2008 5:21pm @António Pires: That's a wonderful thing to say, thank you Antonio :) Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesHey, I thought that was my job! 28 Dec 2008 6:22pm @Stephen Phillips: Really? Good boy lol JoeB from Brampton, CanadaStylish coat for just sweeping the snow off the steps. 28 Dec 2008 7:49pm @JoeB: Here's what I'm thinking Joe, she's on her way to work...thanks a lot ;) Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomFor me this is a view we rarely see, no one ever gets to shovel snow over here any more. I hope some can be swept our way. 28 Dec 2008 8:45pm @Richard_Irwin: I will gladly send some your way Richard, plus this year the world is a little wacko about weather, so really be careful what you wish for...and just in case, get warm hats, mittens and socks/boots, the extremities must be kept warm. Bookfool from Mississippi, United StatesI was going to say exactly what JoeB said -- that's an awfully nice coat to wear for a sweeping job. I love your little slice-of-life photos, Rainy! 28 Dec 2008 9:35pm @Bookfool: Hey Booky, well as I told Joe, I'm betting she's on her way to work, or a show-off, 'cause she's seen me with my camera (NOT ;) thanks sweetie Pixim from Nice, FranceEt voilà l'envers du décor, il faut bien que quelqu'un s'y colle pour que tes photos soit parfaites, tout bien rangé, une neige bien ordonnée... This is a nice crisp image with excellent light, Lorraine. 29 Dec 2008 2:37am @Michael Skorulski: Thanks a lot Michael, I am very blessed as I have the most wonderful neighbour in the world who with his snow remover, ensures that my parking space, sidewalks are clear of snow...How lucky am I? standley from Carquefou, FranceVoilà quelque chose que l'on ne sait pas faire ici.
