@jamesy: The question of the day apparently, well it's a place that has a metal roof and sidings and where customers of Loblaw's (Grocery Store) put back (or should) their carts once they're done putting their bags in the car. I thought it looked pretty through the side opening. Thanks a lot Debbie, now you know I'm going to refer every one to my response to you ;) LOL @Alun Lambert: Yes and yes, thanks Alun :) Jean-François from LES ISSAMBRES, Francesolitude .......................................... j'adore cette ambiance ........ 21 Jan 2009 6:55am @Jean-François: :) merci beaucoup J-F Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandI'm curious as to what a cart cabin is? Like the perspective here, nice shot! 21 Jan 2009 7:27am @Linerberry: Hey Berry Boo, see my response to first comment and thanks a lot ;) @Anthony Lambert: Thanks Anthony, see response to first comment ;) tyan from Singapore, Singaporeok, the cart cabin doesnt exactly look like somewhere I would want to be,though of course i would have preferred it to the cold outside at all times!:) 21 Jan 2009 8:28am @tyan: Well it would block some of the wind, see my resp. to first comment for explanation sweetie lol kerfendal from Paris, Francevisiblement c'est un endroit où on attend, devant on dirait une patinoire, photo enigme ! et toujours cette belle neige au loin 21 Jan 2009 8:46am @kerfendal: lol pas tout à fait, j'allais te dire : va voir ma réponse au premier commentaire, mais je devrais l'expliquer en français aussi donc voici, c'est un endroit avec toit et côté métallique ou les clients de Loblaws (épiceries) peuvent déposer leur panier (ou pas) après avoir fini de mettre les sacs dans l'auto. J'aimais la parallèle et le décor entre le métal ;) merci beaucoup Max! standley from Carquefou, FranceUne belle image énigmatique Lorraine. Mais qu'est-ce donc une "cart cabin"? 21 Jan 2009 9:16am @standley: Bonjour Richard, voir ma réponse à Max (Kerfendal) ci-haut, merci beaucoup ;) @Cheryl: Thanks a lot Cheryl, you can see my response to Debbie (first comment) on what it actually is ;) @k@: Merci beaucoup Karine, voir ma réponse au commentaire de Max (Kerfendal) pour l'explication ;) Kathy from Indianapolis, United Statesok...let me guess! It's a cabin for carts, right? Now I have to figure out what a cart might be in Canada! Too big for grocery carts? And my Canadian son-in-law is offline! Just when I need him. lol 21 Jan 2009 11:50am @Kathy: Kathy, always follow your instincts sweetie lol we have small, medium and big carts...let all fit in ;) Nina from Hamburg, GermanyAn interesting pespective here, Lorraine. This cart cabin... is it a place for shopping carts? Or what is it exactly? :) 21 Jan 2009 12:16pm @Nina: It's exactly that sweet Nina, for a full explanation (if you care lol) read my response to my first visitor's comment ;) Kathy from Indianapolis, United StatesThe son-in-law says it is an enclosure for buggies that were alongside buildings like churches. Is that right? 21 Jan 2009 12:27pm @Kathy: Buggies? oh my Canadian son-in-law is a little, a lot cold lol But wow I love the way he thinks...It's a place for shopping carts ;) (for longer explanation, see my response to first comment) Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesThis just looks "icy" cold. Can't escape it this time of year, I suppose. Florida beckons; Bella sends a tropical doggie tail wag. 21 Jan 2009 12:48pm @Viewfinder: Nothing compares to the the cold now, Florida Beckons Loudly, and kiss to Bella ;) Jeff from Pembroke Dock, Wales., United KingdomI googled cart cabin..and you popped up..!! Your famous girl !! (Go on try it)...Didn't learn anything about cart cabins though. ;>)) 21 Jan 2009 1:19pm @Jeff: I did, couldn't believe it...geesh...I just I had to call it something...See my response to your son lol thanks a lot Jeff ;) MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesIs that a cool comp the way the roof and rail line trail upwards to the right? I like it. 21 Jan 2009 2:04pm @MontereyJohn: What? lol thanks a lot John, see my response to Debbie (first comment) for explanation ;) Rui from Leiria, PortugalHmmm Cart cabin? I guess something to store shopping carts? 21 Jan 2009 2:30pm @Rui: Bingo! You win! lol thanks a lot Rui ;) Janice Thomson from CanadaWe don't have those here Lorraine but we also don't get the winter's you do either so our carts are left everywhere in the parking lot or inside the store. Neat view of the park? How did you manage to find a time when there were no vehicles present? I too like the perspective in this shot. 21 Jan 2009 2:34pm @Janice Thomson: You got it Hun...except it's easy to get empty parking lots, considering I'm always the first one outdoor (for groceries that is) ;) Alivia from Saint-Etienne, Franceje ne sais pas trop interpreter la photo, je vois la neige et les arbres, ce terrain un peu vague,un aspect deserté d'un village, une sortte d'angoisse plane..une atmosphère pesante. 21 Jan 2009 4:06pm @Alivia: Elle est 'moody' ton histoire, j'aime beaucoup, Alivia, la mienne est beaucoup moins interessante...voir ma réponse au commentaire de Max (Kerfendal) :) Suzanne from Huntington Bch, California, United StatesOMG...now you're really making me cold. With the parking lot being empty I figure the smart people are at home by the fireplace. Of course, that never includes us dedicated photographers.;o) 21 Jan 2009 6:50pm @Suzanne: Seriously though Suzanne, this dedication thing---beginning to get on my nerves, don't wanna I'm too cold lol thanks always :) remember, sunshine shot on yours, I need to warm up Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainHello, Lorraine, you have caused a lot of questions with the name and the framing :)) 21 Jan 2009 7:02pm @Paco Díaz: Who'd have thought? I just had to put a title down LOL you'll find the explanation in my response to the first comment, merci beaucoup Paco :) JoeB from Brampton, CanadaWay to put the cart before the horse, with no evidence of one it has confused some. The structure has framed the parking lot into a window view. Was this on your way back, you return carts and get your quarter back. I have to google cart cabin to make sure that its not some sort of fever suffered from winter in "The Great White North." The reactions are hilarious, its the smile of the day. 21 Jan 2009 7:23pm @JoeB: That's funny Joe...Amazing hey? But i assure you, I don't pay for carts, must be an Ontario thing...weird! And I always bring my cart to the Cart Cabin (I had to name it something) I guess I could have called it storage, but that implies indoor...oh well ;) Barbara from Florida, United StatesThe roof and lower wall of the enclosure frames this scene nicely. I actually photoshopped a winter scene giving it the same frame you used naturally here. 21 Jan 2009 7:38pm @Barbara: Barb Barb Barb Barb Barb Barbara Ann...no wonder they named a song after you. You know things :) right on!!! 25 F? really now that's cold, isn't it? You live in Florida, that's not right, it shouldn't be cold.. @Calusarus: Merci beaucoup Frederic ;) Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomBrrrr..... cold, and it dosen't look too busy there today either. Hot chocolate Lorraine and sitting by the fire/radiator, beats a cart cabin anyday. 21 Jan 2009 11:35pm @Observing: Very True, Mikey, but you have to buiy the hot chocolate at one point...;) lol MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomToo cold for me...brrr! a nicely framed shot Lorraine. 22 Jan 2009 12:10am @MaryB: Too cold for me too now, MaryB, I need lots of warmth, can you post some? thanks a lot! Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesIS this for grocery carts at a Sobey's? Not very many cars in the lot from where you stood. 22 Jan 2009 12:22am @Judy: Nope darlin' they're grocery carts a a Loblaw's (Sobey's Canadian version?) can you post beach and hot things please, I'm freeezing ;) JJ from Jersey City, United Statesa cabin for the shopping carts? and re your comment, I do appreciate how lucky we are here and no reason to complain about our little bit of snow here 22 Jan 2009 1:26am @JJ: Bingo, and JJ you can complain all you want, your photos are great...;) amy from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaSuperstore? Sobey's? Save-ON? And of course no carts are in there... and that's typical, too. LOL!! Looks like it warming up a bit? 22 Jan 2009 4:40am @amy: You're Canadian and you say Sobey's...what about Loblaw's? girl! really! you have Sobey's? Neat, I'd love to have a Sobey's...we're having a two day heat wave of lows of Minus 10...gonig back down to the MINUS 20/30s @GJC: Only if you need food dear GJC ;) bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaI like this view Lorraine!
