I like this composition and the colors of stones and wood against the white snow. There are days that I would like to be there... Good one, Lorraine.

Hmm... not sure I would want to sit there Lorr, a bit cold. But I think it has a good abstract feel to it, and the hole is interesting :-0

The B/W contrast here is lovely. Do you know, the snow looks like white fur or cotten wool making the bench lookreally cosy. Incredible. It's lovely, Lorraine.

Coucou Lorraine, toujours sous la neige à ce que je vois !! N'as-tu pas reçu toutes les chaudes pensées (et ce n'est pas un vain mot, 40° environ dans la journée...) que j'ai essayé de te faire parvenir pour te réchauffer ??
En tout cas ce mélange de matières, bois pierres et neige est d'un bel effet et compose un joli tableau hivernal et abstrait... mais brrr... ça me glace le sang... :-))

This bench reminds me of the old 'stocks' which are still in some old villages over here. Our ancestors would stick a prisoners head through the hole, tie them to the wood, and then the locals would all throw rotten food at them. Do you still use them in your neck of the woods, or is this the work of a monster woodpecker?

Interesting and unique bench. The back board makes me think of a side panel from a boat and that is the porthole.
