Our ancestors would stick a prisoners head through the hole, tie them to the wood, and then the locals would all throw rotten food at them. Do you still use them in your neck of the woods, or is this the work of a monster woodpecker? 22 Feb 2009 8:45pm @Richard_Irwin: Well now that can't be pleasant...personnaly I htought it was an Ode to Flintstones, but what do I know? Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesAn interesting find. Why would a bench have such a round hole poked into its back? 22 Feb 2009 8:51pm @Viewfinder: A mini-huntback? no really, I only thought as far as Flintstones, or it could very well be what Richard suggested. ;) Thanks sweety roentarre from Melbourne, AustraliaOnes of the best abstract snowscape I have seen. The snow looks so fluffy good and gentle. Great composition on this one! 22 Feb 2009 8:51pm @roentarre: Wow, I'm torn between saying 'Gosh, you're so wonderful' and 'Don't go out much?', I'll settle for the latter, thanks so much ;) Fliss from Melbourne Beach, United StatesHi, it has been a while since I have dropped by... 23 Feb 2009 2:21am @Fliss: Flissy of the sunshine, what's the matter with me, that I have also forgotten to visit, and I have no excuse, I do nothing all day ;) thanks sweetie, see 'ya later ;) @GJC: Well said GJC ;) thanks a lot! Barbara from Florida, United StatesInteresting and unique bench. The back board makes me think of a side panel from a boat and that is the porthole. 23 Feb 2009 5:36am @Barbara: lol love your comment, always thanks Barb ;) Francesc B. from région parisienne, FranceTu nous la fais "Art contemporain" et c'est super ! 23 Feb 2009 3:32pm @Francesc B.: ooo c'est gentil, merci beaucoup Franc ;) Betsy Barron from Chester Springs, PA, United Stateslove this image - we need a portrait of you ON this bench! 27 Feb 2009 1:31pm |
