I assume the subject is the movie theater, but the front of it is in shadow. It would be better to catch it a time when the light will give it depth and interest. Also, why did you choose to put a tree and a lamp post in front. I think your shot probably would have been cleaner if you stood on the base of that lamp post. This could be a good background, but maybe you can catch it at a better lighting time and with a person walking toward you instead of away so we can see a face. I hope this helps you with future photos. 10 May 2009 4:56am @Louis Hebert: Hi Louis, tons of good suggestions in there. Never hesitate to offer them and know that they don't offend me in the least. I almost threw it all in b&w, but I loved the aquamarine blend on the wall, so I kept it. My shots are never timed,'cause well that's the way it is,but yes harmonizing with the light is a fantastic idea. I didn't choose to put the tree and the lamp, but I had an appointment at the bank and had to respect their time, so I shot where I was. But the Theatre wasn't the only thing I liked I wanted the person in the photo, but backing away. I really didn't think I could ask her please turn around so I can take the shot, 'cause then you know you have to get approval, show it to her...and maybe totally lose the shot in the process. Sometimes you gotta shoot what you can get, which is what I did, which is not to say that I don't appreciate your great suggestions. Hope you visit again :) Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandSuper duper stuff Lorry!!! I love the little peek of colour!! 10 May 2009 5:56am @Linerberry: Thanks Berry Boo I loved the shade of aquamarine, and didn't mind too much the little stars lol :) Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceHommage à la célèbre phrase de Andy Warhol ? 10 May 2009 7:33am @Calusarus: Oui!!! merci beaucoup pour l'auteur de cette citation, je ne savais vraiment pas....WooHoo Cal et Andy Warhol |
