Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaNicely captured Lorraine! Actually that pose is very common in many parts of the world and is supposed to be very restful.....for those who can actually achieve it.... ;-) 5 Aug 2009 11:31am @Eric Cousineau: Those days are so gone Eric lol thanks alot @rem_la: Merci beaucoup Rem :) cindy brown from United StatesVery nice:) She looks just thrilled about going back to school. Great capture! I could fold up like that, but you would have to call 911 to get me unfolded:) Lorraine you and Kathy ought to both do facebook you would find me there:) 5 Aug 2009 11:53am @cindy brown: Hey Cindy, I have to go find you.... I'm there and thanks so much, about the folding, well I could fall lol LESLIE from norwich, United KingdomLovely use of selective color Lorraine, i wonder if that backpack was so heavy she couldn't get up again !! 5 Aug 2009 1:07pm @LESLIE: well she's not still there so I'm figuring she got up lol thanks Les :) Barbara from Florida, United StatesMy first thought too, if I could only bend like that, well maybe I could with a heavy backpack but I certainly wouldn't be able to get up. 5 Aug 2009 1:33pm @Barbara: Thanks so much Barb, I appreciate it, she looks like she didn't want to be noticed, I'm not even sure, she's a she... john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesTerrific composition. Dynamite selective color. 5 Aug 2009 1:43pm @john4jack: I appreciate that Jack, thanks a lot ;) Claudia from Illinois, United StatesMy first thoughts were--wow, I can't even imagine being able to get my body in that position and then get out of it again without doing any damage! :) Then I read all the other comments and am sitting her laughing. Love the brushes of selective color washing over her here and there! 5 Aug 2009 2:07pm @Claudia: Ha the joy of losing our flexibility, don't like it, I use to just spring up, lol thanks so much! tyan from Singapore, Singaporeshe looks really flexible,i dont think i caN touch my toes anymore, hahaha.:)yeah, and though i am only 29,i have difficulty getting up after sitting or squatting on the floor.SIGH. 5 Aug 2009 2:47pm @tyan: You're probably flexible but exhausted, 'cause you're not just young, you're little :) Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesWow, m'lady! What a super composition; I love the processing effect. This young girl seems truly "unseen" excpet for your camera and now the Am3 world. This is a five-star effort, for sure. 5 Aug 2009 3:00pm @Viewfinder: OH What a lovely thing to say, thanks Glenn, very much! @Michael Rawluk: Thanks so much Michael, you never did say which Stephen King novel were you talking about? I'm presently reading the Complete and uncut Edition of The Stand ;) always great nightime reading ouahahahahah lol arlene from United StatesFirst response: That looks like an uncomfortable position. Second response: She seems burdened by a heavy backpack. Final response: She looks to young to be carrying such a heavy burden. 5 Aug 2009 6:10pm @arlene: I think you have really good responses lOL ;) thanks a lot! Christel from Köln, GermanyGood evening, Lorraine 5 Aug 2009 6:22pm @Christel: Hi Christel, thanks very much and it's very easy, you can download Picasa3 for free, and it's a simple programs that allows you to do all sorts of neat post-processing, this one is called 'Focal Black and white' and what you do is click on focal Black and white option and with your mouse you click on any part of the photo you want kept in colour and the rest is thrown in black and white /// download is, it's really really handy and so simple ;) dobbino from Cape Town, South AfricaReally clever use of the selective colouring. What it must be like to be able to bend down like that again! Definitely a "call back the past" photo :) I would now have to have some sort of turbo boost rockets in those backpack pockets that I could light to get me back up again. 5 Aug 2009 6:52pm @dobbino: lol oh rob that's too good, that would be a great invention, can't bend anymore and if you fall you can't get up/ GET the turbo boost rockets for a great lift....batteries not included lol Richard Irwin from Belper, United KingdomWaiting for a bus and trying to get away with paying 'half fare' I think. Interesting shot, it does beg the question 'why is she crouching like that?' 5 Aug 2009 10:37pm @Richard Irwin: my thought was she doesn't want to be seen...thanks a lot Richard ;) Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesOh, to be able to squat down like that again ... only in days gone by! 5 Aug 2009 11:27pm @Judy: Judy, yeah I was a like too rushed in the post-processing, tsk tsk ;) squatting, you and me and all my visitors ;)x Nina from Hamburg, GermanyWhat a big backpack... I hope it's not too heavy... a very good shot of an interesting expression, nicely emphasized by selective coloring :) 6 Aug 2009 12:45am @Nina: Thanks for the lovely comment Nina :) Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanOK! Next time I'll try it inside the pool!....And....I think I'd have liked to have her either entirely in colour or totally B&W! My choice...of course! 6 Aug 2009 11:44am @Japanalia: Oh yeah lol Yes looking at the photo, I see i was lazy in my post-processing, but voila, it's done! Thanks darling :) marianne from Toulouse, Francemagnifique désat !!! 6 Aug 2009 11:59pm @marianne: Merci ma cocotte :) |
